Reliability & Maintainability Engineer - Customer Support & Services
The Reliability & Maintainability Engineer is responsible for developing, managing, and communicating the reliability & maintainability methodology for Aftermarket Commercial team to support internal and external customers.
This position is onsite at Bell's Fort Worth, TX Commercial Business Center (CBC) facility.
What you’ll be doing as a Reliability & Maintainability Engineer
- Collect, analyze, and score data on failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action Systems (FRACAS).
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for failed aircraft components.
- Formulate reliability analyses and predictions using Windchill Quality Solutions software.
- Spend majority of time collaborating in a team environment and interfacing directly with Integrated Product Teams, providing reliability engineering support to various disciplines within the company.
- Calculating, tracking, predicting, and improving of Direct Maintenance Costs (DMC) and Direct Operating Costs (DOC).
- Utilize reliability engineering techniques (including Weibull, AMSAA, and Abernethy) to generate unscheduled maintenance predictions.
- Engage with Bell's cross-functional teams to interpret reliability data and help management make more informed decisions.
- Support ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Skills You Bring To this Role
- Must have strong written and verbal skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, being able to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective analytical problem-solving skills, the ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy, be able to learn and work with software tools.
- Basic understanding of Statistics and the implementation of statistical models.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in conducting engineering investigations with suppliers and customers and participation in Reliability Review scoring boards.
- Developing & interpreting Reliability requirements / flow-down requirements.
- Experience collaborating on the development of technical solutions to complex reliability problems through active management of the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action (FRACAS) system and Failure Mode Effects & Criticality analysis (FMECA).
- Experience interfacing with external suppliers to review and support reliability analysis.
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering is required
- Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience
- Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered
- A Minimum of 5 years of Reliability and Maintainability Predictions and Allocations and/or developing Failure Reporting and Corrective Action (FRACAS) and Failure Mode, Effects, & Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Travel: <10%, domestic and/or international travel may be required.
