CESSNA CITATION EUROPEAN SERVICE CENTER, aeronautical maintenance / continuing airworthiness management company based at Le Bourget airport, is looking for a Safety Management Specialist.
JOB SUMMARY:
“Responsible for performing a range of professional tasks related to the development, coordination, and oversight of Safety Management System (SMS) activities at Textron Aviation.”
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) for a Part 145 Repair Station (in coordination with the ESCAR) and a Part-CAMO for NCC operations.
- Measure, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of the SMS, policies, and procedures. Recommend changes to improve workplace safety and reduce accidents and injuries (in coordination with the ESCAR).
- Compile, analyze, interpret, and report statistical data on accidents, injuries, losses, damages, and exposures. Monitor and implement corrective actions to address potential hazards in line with the safety action plan. Provide periodic reports to the Accountable Manager (ACM) and the responsible committee.
- Organize and lead Safety Committee meetings
- Oversee the development, implementation, and control of required safety training programs within the organization. Conduct specialized safety and environmental training as needed to communicate hazard control measures.
- Promote a Just Culture and maintain an open reporting system
- Provide expert advice on safety issues, including compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk management processes.
- Initiate and, if necessary, conduct investigations of occurrences and generate reports.
- Perform internal safety audits to ensure compliance
- Lead environmental compliance efforts related to hazardous waste, air permitting, water pollution control, and community right-to-know programs.
- Collaborate with the European Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager and external safety experts to achieve compliance with corporate and local EHS requirements.
- Integrate safety into Textron Aviation’s culture, taking into account the company’s operational goals, needs, and diverse environments.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and corporate standards
- Provide guidance during incident investigations involving serious or questionable injuries or illnesses. Recommend preventive measures based on root cause analysis to avoid recurrence.

• Performing Audits and managing Corrective Actions
• Assuring the liaison with Aviation Authorities
• Performing the management of change
• Assuring adherence to the Maintenance Organization Exposition and CAME
