Accounting Manager will lead accounting and financial operations, including the preparation of statutory reports, analyses, and budgets for multiple legal entities. The role ensures compliance with tax regulations and internal controls while supporting the company’s strategic goals through analytical insight and process optimization.
Key work tasks
• coordinating and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to meet company and internal management requirements in accordance with established processes and procedures
• preparing legally required annual financial statements for three entities, as well as various financial analyses and reports
• ensuring compliance with all statutory tax reports and filings, including VAT
• verifying that customer invoices are prepared accurately and on time, and that cost control measures are in place
• assisting the finance department in preparing financial budgets, plans, forecasts, and related financial analyses and reports
• supporting business decision-making through analysis
• supporting integration into the corporate environment
• participating in ad hoc/development projects (e.g., mergers and acquisitions)
• ensuring continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Education Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory)
• Advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s or PhD in Finance or Accounting) are often preferred for senior roles
• A Certified Auditor credential is preferred.
Professional Experience
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Managerial experience in corporate accounting or finance
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
• Familiarity with tax regulations, compliance, and internal controls
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Infor ERP, SAP)
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS standards, Slovenian Accounting Standards
• Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling

• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience working with executive leadership, auditors, and regulatory bodies
