About This Role
The Systems Engineer will accomplish the Systems Engineering scope for the Sea Systems team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Systems Engineer will execute System Engineering processes and procedure and will be primarily focused on Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), and Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) modeling, and Requirements Management. Each of these activities requires coordination and communication across engineering disciplines and interaction with a wide range of functions.
Responsibilities
· Review weekly quality reports to evaluate component quality issues
· Oversee Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), and Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) modeling
· Develop requirements management processes and apply, as necessary, to new development projects
· Interface with various functional groups including Quality, Test, Supply Management, Program Management, and Design Engineering to obtain information to support FRACAS, DMSMS, and RAM processes
· Support Failure Corrective Action Planning, Execution and Reporting, as necessary
· Prepare customer reports to document status or report events via Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) requirements.
· Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders on the status of FRACAS, DMSMS, and RAM
