Position: Technical Training & Learning Excellence Manager

Job Summary:
Textron Systems is seeking a dynamic Technical Training & Learning Excellence Manager to lead the development and delivery of training programs, ensuring the workforce stays current with industry standards. This position will be instrumental in supporting the Production and Test departments, providing essential training in alignment with operational metrics, skills matrices and industry demands. The ideal candidate will be adept at building strong partnerships with third-party organizations to foster talent development and help meet the organization’s evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a training Team (e.g. training specialist(s), instructor(s), and On-The-Floor Trainer(s)) ensuring consistency and effectiveness in training delivery, including the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a Train-the-Trainer program to equip subject matter experts (SMEs) with effective instructional techniques.
LMS Management: Implement and maintain an LMS structure that aligns with business goals and ensures technical training compliance across the organization.
Training Development: Collaborate with SMEs to create, update and deliver engaging, high-quality in-person and online training, including Structured-On-the-Job Training (SOJT) administration.
Training Coordination: Ensure forecast and schedule instructor-led training sessions to maintain a well-trained and compliant workforce. Manage training schedules using internal tracking software.
Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with HR, community organizations, and external partners to enhance recruitment strategies and talent pipelines.
Certification/Qualification Collaboration: In close coordination with Quality and Manufacturing Production, monitor and ensure timely recertification of employees before training expiration, ensuring compliance with all technical requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gain a working knowledge of all functions within the site to facilitate knowledge transfer and improve organizational processes. Provide technical guidance and support across the organization, ensuring alignment with existing policies and procedures.
Employee Training Records: Maintain comprehensive records both internal and external training, providing regular updates on training status to leadership.
Continuous Improvement: Work closely with SMEs to ensure course material remains relevant, accurate, and technically up to date.
Training Tools: Manage procurement of training materials, tools and equipment and classroom compliance hardware for New Orleans location(s), including practicum spaces.
