This position is onsite in Bell’s facility in Wichita, KS.
Production Control & Logistics Manufacturing Ops Specialist, Bell Wichita
The PC&L Mfg Ops Specialist will play a critical role in optimizing resource allocation, managing inventory, and supporting production planning to ensure efficient operations within our dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include providing a 30+ day lookahead to identify shortage issues, coordinating actions to align supply to demand, directing shop floor control activity, and supporting the delivery of scheduled aircraft to the customer.
What you’ll be doing as a PC&L Manufacturing Ops Specialist

Analyze and forecast resource requirements, including raw materials, components, and equipment, to support production schedules and meet operational demands.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring adequate supply while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.

Utilize data analysis and statistical modeling to identify trends, optimize resource utilization, and improve inventory management processes.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to resource utilization, inventory turnover, and production efficiency, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.

Support production planning activities by coordinating with procurement, logistics, and production teams to align resource availability with production schedules and customer demand.

Contribute to the development and implementation of resource planning strategies, including capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and inventory control initiatives.

Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of resources.

Participate in the development and maintenance of resource management systems, including ERP software, to facilitate accurate data tracking and reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external suppliers.

Knowledge of aviation industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices related to resource management is a plus.
What you need to be successful:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations research, business administration, or a related field; OR at least 5 years of work experience in resource planning, inventory management, or supply chain analysis within a manufacturing or aviation industry setting.

At least 2 years of work experience in resource planning, inventory management, or supply chain analysis within a manufacturing or aviation industry setting.

Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel), resource analysis tools (e.g., Kinaxis), experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
