Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree required in a STEM field
- Five or more years of nuclear submarine propulsion system maintenance and engine room operation required.
· Two or more years as the team trainer operator for NPTU are preferred.
· Two or more years as a classroom instructor for the NNPP may be accepted in lieu of team trainer operator.
· Subject Matter Expertise in the operation and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion system components.
- System test or quality control experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to trace requirements to instructional procedures desirable.
- Personal computer skills (e.g., word processing, spread sheet, presentation graphics)
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Established leadership skills
- Effective ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple contingencies requiring attention
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Must be able to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance
15-25% travel required depending on the phase of the contract
